It was so special for me to be able to photograph two of Dave and my good friends for their engagement! Here's a bit about what Jenn had to say...
How did you and Matt meet?
We met at work. We were friends first and then started dating. We kept in on the down low for a long time because we didn’t want our coworkers to feel awkward! But once I came back from our trip to Europe the cat was out of the bag!
Was there a moment you knew you wanted to spend the rest of your life with him?
I wouldn’t say there was an exact moment I knew I wanted to be with him forever, but it was pretty early on when I knew that he was special and that we were just really good together. We make each other better people and that’s what I want in a husband!
How did Matt propose?
We were on a trip to Europe and we were on top of some cliffs in Etretat France that overlooked the English Channel. We were visiting his friend from college (who was in on everything) and he asked to take a picture of us. I went to put my arm around Matt to pose for the picture and all of a sudden he wasn’t there so I turned to the side and he was down on one knee. It was so romantic I just started bawling! Couldn’t have happened in a more beautiful place
What is one of your favorite memories from your relationship?
Obviously the Europe trip will be one of my favorite memories for a very long time! But one of my other favorite memories was the first time that we golfed together. It was Matt’s first time on a golf course and we played at the highest altitude golf course in the United States. He had such a blast and had the golf course nearly to ourselves.
Describe your hopes and vision for your wedding…
I think I would describe my vision for the wedding as classic. I love the concept of classic black and white with a splash of color. I want to look back on my pictures in 50 years and still love the way everything looks. I want everyone to have a lot of fun and a wonderful time celebrating the sacrament of our marriage! I seriously can’t wait!
