Ilona and Ian's wedding was beautiful. They got married at the Wash Park Studio's in front of friends and family members and boy did this group know how to have a good time! A wedding crasher even noticed how much fun everyone was having and attempted to join in on the fun! Little did he know that the groom and a number of the guests were all police officers and he was quickly escorted out! We explored the area around the Capital for a number of the formals and it was such a fantastic day. Here's a bit about Ilona and Ian...
How did you meet?
I met Ian back in 2008 in my very first college course. We were both Political Science majors and met in an Intro to Poli Sci class. Needless to say, we bonded over our interest in politics initially. Then fast forward to June 2011, we reconnected and met up for a run at City Park. After 4 years (June 2014), we got married!
How did Ian propose:
The week after I graduated from college, we both took several days off so that we could relax and spend some time together. On the last day of our little vacation, Ian suggested that we go to dinner and a walk. We go on walks very often so I thought nothing of it. After dinner, we end up at City Park. About 10 minutes into our walk, Ian was down on one knee and asking the question I've been so excited to answer since I met him!
What was your experience like working with Elizabeth Cryan Photography?
There were several reasons we chose Elizabeth Cryan Photography. Before we met in person, her packages were just what we were looking for as were her prices. Once we met up to go over the details, her warm personality and vision was what really made us choose Elizabeth Cryan Photography. We left our first meeting feeling confident in her ability to capture one of the most special days in our life. We loved the engagement session and all of the times we met up to just talk and go over details. We were beyond happy with the quality of the photos. Every aspect of the day was captured perfectly. We did not have a videographer and we do not regret that one bit as the photography spoke for itself. Every emotion, every guest, every detail of the wedding was captured. From the tiny crystals on my dress to the layout of the venue, every little thing was captured. We couldn't have asked for more. Liz was great to work with! From the initial consultation to the big day, she was professional but fun. I am not very comfortable in front of the camera typically but Liz made it so much better. The best way I can put this is that you won't be working with "a photographer" you will be working with a friend. We absolutely plan on using Elizabeth Cryan Photography again in the future.
