It was so much fun getting to know Chelsey and Brian. Their stories are so much better than anything I could say, so here's a bit about these two!
How We Met...
"One cold Sunday evening, Chelsey was tending bar at Fado Irish Pub. Sunday nights were typically very slow. When Brian walked in this particular night, Chelsey noticed him right away! She followed him, with her eyes, from the front door, all the way to the back of the circular bar when some of Brian's old friends were. Quickly, she made her way to the back of the pub to meet this fine looking gent. The mutual friends introduced the two and Chelsey offered Brian a drink. There was an instant connection! Little did either of them know, they would be together forever, from this point on!
His friends, who also happened to work at the pub, had to get back to work. This left Brian and Chelsey with nothing more to do than start chatting. They talked and talked and talked. Before they knew it, it was last call. At this point, they had set a date to hang out. Little did they know, or care, that date was set for Thanksgiving night 2011. Almost every night that week, Brian came to see Chelsey at the pub. She loved everyminute of it, they had really great conversations about so many things and she especially loved those 100% tips he was leaving her! About a week after they were talking, they realized they had to make a "raincheck" on thier date they set up for Thanksgiving, so they did.
When Chelsey came back to town after her Thanksgiving vacation, Brian had an amazing night planned for the two of them:
They decided to meet at mutual, well known, place for a drink before dinner. They met at Fado. After what turned into the longest "drink" ever, They headed out for their dinner reservation at Shells'n'Sauce (which is now one of their favorite places.) They had an amazing date that was filled with bottles of red wine, calamari, bread, stuffed shells, parmesean chicken and creme brulee. After dinner, the two did not want the night to end, so they decided to make their way to another one of their soon-to-be "favorites" called "The Thin Man" a local bar. The love birds sipped on some delicious cocktails while talking the night away learning everything they possibly could about each other. From that night on, it was a whirlwind of sweeping each other off of their feet. So. In. Love......."
How We Got Engaged...
"Our dating anniversary is November 27th. Due to the date Thanksgiving fell on in 2013, we decided to just postpone the celebration of our anniversary. I suprised Brian early with some concert tickets and he had told me that he was planning something for the week after Thanksgiving. Who doesn't love a drawn out 3-week long anniversary celebration? So Brian had made reservations for dinner at a fancy new restauarant neithe of us had tried, I was so excited!
Of course, we were rushing to get ready and out the door on time for our reservation, so I started stressing and getting a little flustered. He said, "babe, I really want to give you your present before we leave", and I said," maybe you should just wait until after since we're running late..." He came around the corner right out side of our bedroom and said," Chels, you are an amazing girlfriend and the best mom, so, I am sorry that I could only get you this small gift.." Then from behind him, he pulled out this fancy looking wooden box that was only big enough to hold jewelry of some sort. He opened the box, got down on one knee (which really isn't easy for him- with his bad knees) and asked the question every girl cannot wait to hear," Will you Marry me?" I just covered my mouth, so typical, and started tearing up. When he stood up, I just started kissing and hugging him, I couldn't help myself. I was so happy. Berkley was standing down on the ground looking up at us both with a very cute little confused baby face. She could tell something good was happening but wasn't exactly sure what it was. He pulled back and said," wait, that was a "yes" right?" I said," YES! of course babe!"
We only had a few moments to celebrate before we had to leave for dinner... The whole way to dinner I was just in shock, staring down at my ring. I couldn't stop looking at it. It is the prettiest ring ever. Exactly what I had dreamed of.
I knew that we would someday get married because Brian is my guy. The most amazing boyfriend, best friend, daddy and now fiance. I cannot wait until I can call him my husband!! We are so excited to "seal the deal" on our amazing little family!!"
